The name plebeian love originates from the lyrics of the Jazz standard „Cry me a river“, a piece that runs like a common thread through the music of the duo.

The songs on „big sky, little bird“ are, with the exception of a Jimi Hendrix adaption, all originals by Maike Lindemann and Matthias Kurth.
